Marriage Sacrifice

I’ve always believed, and it’s been confirmed with several amazing married mentors …marriage is less about romance and more about service and sacrifice. Ladies, culture is attempting to teach us to place more value in being the prize rather than a wife that a husband can trust with his heart. Unfortunately, entitlement is what many women are leading with, as if a man should value, respect, and honor us just because we’ve set ourselves on a pedal stool. It’s a turn off and most men see the motive from a mile away. May I suggest, during our single season, we use our platonic relationships to temper our expectations, selfish propensities …and practice honoring our husband. 

I declare: My husband will be a gift from God who will respect me because He honors God. Not because I am entitled to it. He will love me well. He will trust me.
